Bison beef up ahead of new seasonWith the Paul Baldwin Agencies Basingstoke Bison getting their season underway tomorrow, we are delighted to announce the signings of four players on two-way contracts with the Herd for the 2015/16 campaign.
Alan Lack, Dan Lackey, Alex Sampford and Jacob Ranson will play for the club in selected games during the season ahead and will be part of the squad of the upcoming pre-season Challenge games against Milton Keynes and Guildford.
Lack is a well known player in the EPIHL after spells with both hometown club Bracknell and Peterborough.
Work commitments forced the 23-year-old to step down to the NIHL during last season, but we are delighted that the tenacious forward will split his time between the London Raiders and our club.
Lackey and Sampford are both well known players within the Basingstoke system, having been born in the town, developed in the junior programme and made appearances for the senior Bison and Bufffalo teams.
Defenceman Lackey will continue to play for the Bufffalo in the season ahead whilst forward Sampford will be developing under the guidance of Jeremy Cornish at the Wightlink Raiders.
Finally, 20-year-old Ranson completes the quartet having spent part of his junior career both in North America and Sweden, before settling into playing time in the NIHL. The forward has joined the Invicta Dynamos for the upcoming campaign after impressing for London, and we look forward to seeing his development continue as part of the Bison.
We are sure all our fans will give the four a big welcome to the club when they take to the ice in the upcoming pre-season games.
The first of which takes places at the Basingstoke Arena tomorrow (Wednesday) night against MK.
For this game, we have reduced ticket prices to allow as many supporters as possible to attend with adults at just £10, concessions £5 and kids-for-a-quid.
You can book your tickets now from the Arena Box Office, either ONLINE, by phone (01256 355 266) or by visiting in person.
Season ticket holders are reminded they must purchase a ticket to this game either by phone or in-person if they wish to reserve their seat.
