Roehl and Jarabek jet in

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce a double swoop for imports as Derek Roehl and Jan Jarabek jet in for the Herd.

With an eye on improving recent results and performances, Doug Sheppard has landed two players he hopes will make an impact and reverse our fortunes so far this season.

"I've never been afraid to make the changes I feel are necessary in order to achieve our goals." Sheppard reflected. "By bringing in two younger players, I hope to see a return to the style of play that brought us so much success last season."

Roehl is no stranger to the United Kingdom, having laced his skates in the Elite League for Fife Flyers, Braehead Clan and Manchester Storm. The American, who holds an Italian passport, scored over 100 points during his time in Britain's top division and will look to make an impact at the Basingstoke Arena.

The 6'2" defenceman Jarabek joins the club having played in Kazakhstan the past two seasons, after spells in Germany, Denmark, Hungary and his homeland of Slovakia.

Both players will make their debuts for the club this coming weekend against the Sheffield Steeldogs.
