Bison set Lightning date THIS FRIDAY

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are disappointed with the news that the Manchester Phoenix have withdrawn from the 2016/17 EPIHL competition after talks with a possible investor fell through.

Our clubs enjoyed a great rivalry throughout our times in the Elite and English Premier League, with both sides enjoying high points against each other. The Phoenix claiming their second league title on home ice against the Herd in 2014 before the Bison claimed play-off final success on a memorable day in Coventry being the highlights for both.

As a result of the Phoenix’s withdrawal from the competition, the Bison will now travel up to Milton Keynes to take on the Lightning THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, with a 7.30pm face-off as our league fixture moves forward from the original date of 18th February.

We still look forward to welcoming the fans of the Stampede to the Basingstoke Arena on Saturday, when the Telford Tigers are in town (6.30pm face-off) in what now could be a pivotal weekend for the direction of the EPIHL title.
