Captain Connolly BackThe Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the re-signing of British captain Aaron Connolly.
This will see the 24-year-old lace up his skates for the fifth season with the Herd and has already made over 200 appearances for the team.
Bison head coach Doug Sheppard confirmed that the fans' favourite will once against wear the C on his shirt - for a third season.
He is certain to be one of the top forwards in South One, as his gritty approach to the game makes him very difficult to play against.
Having grown up in Kent and started his career at the Bison's new rivals Invicta Dynamos.
He then went to play for the Chelmsford Chieftains and the Slough Jets winning play-offs and the EPL Cup with the Berkshire side.
In 2013 he joined the Bison scoring 20 goals in 51 games and helped the Herd to the play-off and cup double.
Two years later, his first as captain, he enjoyed a career high in the EPL of 48 points split evenly between games and assists and also enjoyed lifting the league trophy at the end of the season.
Bison head coach Doug Sheppard said: "Aaron plays the game the Bison way and brings so much to the team both on and off the ice.
He is the spark to get training going and players feed off in on match day. He is an important member of our team."
