Guest Elite appearances for Bison duo

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison will be represented in the Elite League tonight when Vanya Antonov and Stuart Mogg both line up for the Coventry Blaze.

The Blaze take on Gothiques d'Amiens, a French ice hockey team based in Amiens playing in the Ligue Magnus. The game is the final pre-season game for the four time Elite League Champions and is expected to be a tough test.

Bison Director of Hockey Doug Sheppard commented; “It’s great that we’re building a relationship with the Coventry Blaze and it’s also a great opportunity for Vanya and Stuart to get an inside look at hockey at that level. For the Bison we’re looking to build a successful partnership with Coventry that will benefit both our clubs and for these two players this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience.

The Coventry Blaze vs Gothiques d'Amiens game faces off tonight at the Skydome at 7.30pm.

The next home game for the Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison is this Saturday, the competitive season opener, against the Invicta Dynamos with a 6.30pm face-off. Tickets can be bought from the Arena box office, by phone 01256 355266 or online by clicking here
