A PERFECT END TO A GREAT SEASON

Now the dust has settled on a highly successful season for the Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison which saw them crowned Britton conference league Play-off Champions before going on to win the prestigious National Final Fours Play-offs.

Malinik’s the man

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are pleased to announce the signing of new import Roman Malinik.

Bison head coach Doug Sheppard has acted quickly, after releasing Jaroslav Cesky, with the addition of the Czech Republic forward.

The 27-year-old will make his Herd debut on Saturday night, when the Streatham RedHawks come to town.

The Bison new boy was born in Ostrava and played the whole of his career in his homeland until last season, when he suited up for the Herd's EPL rivals the Manchester Phoenix. There he scored 17 times in 28 games in a points total of 30. He then headed to Poland to play for Polonia Bytom.
and helped them to third place in the league. Malinik started this campaign with the same team and returned a point a game.

He will now add another dimesion to the Bison offence and had some solid years in the second tier of the game in the Czech Republic, before coming to Manchester.

A former Czech junior international. The forward was part of the HC Vitkovice under-18 side which won the Czech crown, in which Malinik returning 28 points.

Looking ahead to seeing Malinik in action for the Bison and he will wear shirt 34, Sheppard said: "I remember him from when we played Manchester and he is a good hard working all around player, who I think will do well in a Bison shirt. He has put up some good numbers throughout his career and I feel this change will help us going forward."
