Team changes in the Herd

Speaking today Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison Head Coach Doug Sheppard announces that the Bison and Ashley Jackson have parted company by mutual consent.

Olympian Ashley Jackson joined the Herd over the summer after an impressive season with the Invicta Dynamos. A popular signing it’s therefore sad that his stay in Basingstoke hasn’t worked out the way either the club or player expected but he leaves with the club’s thanks and best wishes.

Doug Sheppard explained; “We’ve had an up and down start to the season and I’ve had to look very closely at my team over the last couple of weeks to give us the best chance of carrying on the good run of form that we have recently started. Ashley’s come in to Basingstoke and although it’s not worked out to be a long stay I’d like to thank him for his efforts in the Herd colours this season.

The Bison players and management would like to put on record their thanks to Ashley and we wish him all the best the future.

The Bison are away this Sunday at Streatham in a league game with their next home game being a league encounter with Cardiff Fire on Saturday October 28th.
