Weekend Preview - Wildcats and Fire ahead this weekend

Its a busy weekend for the Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison as Saturday they take to the road to face the third placed Swindon Wildcats before returning home to host Cardiff Fire on Sunday.

Bison and Wildcats have met six times so far this season with a convincing advantage going to the Wildcats so far but with things tight at the top, with Bison, Phantoms and Wildcats all with aspirations for the league, this could prove a huge clash. Face-off on Saturday is 6.15pm.

On Sunday action returns to Hampshire when the Cardiff Fire are in town. They are a young talented team finding their way in NIHL1, backstopped by former Buffalo goaltender Jordan Lawday and Captained by former Bison skipper Nick Chinn.

Bison currently hold the top spot and will be looking for a good weekend to keep it come the end of Sunday night.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard looked ahead to the weekend; Right now all our focus is on Swindon on Saturday night, we know itll be tough especially going into their building but were on a good run at the moment and it would be great to keep the momentum going with a win in Swindon on Saturday. On Sunday we want to take care of business at home in front of our loyal supporters against Cardiff.
