Bison Bolster Squad with Signing of Harding

The Trane sponsored Basingstoke Bison are pleased to announce the signing of forward Adam Harding who was released earlier this week by the Swindon Wildcats.

Twenty-five-year-old, Adam joins the Herd having iced in the EIHL for the Cardiff Devils, Manchester Storm and Dundee Stars and has iced in both the EPIHL and NIHL with Swindon Wildcats.

Cardiff born Adam shoots right stands 6’0” tall and weighs 176 lbs. He has played for Great Britain at U18 & U20 age groups.

On signing for the Herd Adam said, "I'm extremely excited to be joining Basingstoke for the rest of the season. After talking to Ashley Tait and Russell Cowley i was certain that this would be the right move. It's been an emotional rollercoaster of a week, but I'm really pleased that we could finalise the deal and I can't wait to meet my new team mates and play in front of the Bison fans”.

Coach Tait said, “I'm obviously delighted to be able to bring Adam in. I've played against him many times over the years and he was someone I wanted to sign in the summer. We already have a tight knit group and I knew if I was going to make any additions, they had to be right. After speaking to people from his previous clubs I was happy that would be the case and knew he wouldn't have been available for long, so we had to act quickly to secure him”.

Ashley continued, “It’s great that the owners have backed me and allowed me to add more depth to the squad as we continue our league title defence. It’s certainly is a nice Christmas present for our loyal fanbase”.

The Bison expect to have Adam cleared to play against Swindon Wildcats at the arena on Friday evening (Face off at 7.30pm).

Adam will wear jersey number 4 for the Herd and his home and away jerseys are now available to ‘Own and Loan’ through our ever popular Own and Loan scheme please send your application to
