Tait Returns for Third Season

The Trane Basingstoke Bison are pleased to confirm that “the man with the plan” Ashley Tait is back for his third season leading the Herd as Player Coach.

Coach Tait was appointed to his role in the summer of 2018 and Bison fans have really enjoyed the attacking high paced style of hockey the team have played in the last 2 years.

On Ashley committing to the Herd for a further season Bison’s John Neville commented, “We are really pleased to have Ash on board for a further season, we work well as a team and we were really pushing hard towards the playoffs but unfortunately our season was curtailed early due the unprecedented situation we find ourselves in”.

Plans and player recruitment has commenced in earnest for the forthcoming campaign.

Coach Tait commenting on signing his contract extension said,

“It definitely wasn’t a difficult decision to continue my stay here. I’ve been involved with a lot of clubs in my career and we have a group of first-class people from the owner to staff, volunteers and our noisy passionate fans."

"I think as a club we have made great strides in the last 2 years and I’m excited to continue working with everyone here at the club in our quest silverware.”

Tonight at 7.30pm Coach Tait will be taking over our regular Tuesday night “Ask The” at 7.30pm over on the clubs official Instagram feed @ “bstokebisonofficial”. Get your questions in ready for Ash to reply to.
