THE ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian forward Joe Rand for their forthcoming English Premier League campaign.
He was leading points scorer in the English National League South One last season with the Wightlink Raiders and is set to be an exciting addition to what is already looking an awesome offensive unit.
Rand, hails from Hamilton, Ontario and scored 47 times last term in an impressive points tally of 93 - making him one of the hottest properties in the lower leagues of British ice hockey.
The 26-year-old is ready to prove himself and will be key member of the Bison forward line as they look to hunt down some silverware this coming season.
Rand said: “I am really excited about coming to the Bison and stepping up to the EPL and proving myself.
“I am not afraid to go into the corners or park myself in front of the net, I will do whatever it takes for the team.”
Bison player/coach Doug Sheppard is thrilled to have snapped up a super import signing and said: “He is a good two way player who is big, strong and physical. He can play as a centreman or winger which is great if we need to change things up.”
New signing Rand’s jersey is available to Own and Loan at a price of £150 for the home jersey and £120 for the away shirt.
All Owners and Loaners will have their name printed on the back of the player’s jersey, as well as having the opportunity of a photograph with their respective player at the end of the season.
All you have to do is e-mail info@bstokebison.co.uk - the shirts will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis, when the announcement is made on the Official Basingstoke Bison website.
