THE ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of British defenceman Zach Sullivan.
The 17-year-old was an important part of the Slough Jets play-off winning side in what was his debut campaign in the English Premier League.
He is one of the top young stay at home defenceman in the country and turned in a string of very useful performances against the Herd last year.
As well as suiting up for the Jets last season he also played for both the Great Britain under-18 and under-20 sides.
He is the third player from last season’s Jets to sign for the Bison joining player/coach Doug Sheppard and fellow British defenceman Alex Symonds.
So Sheppard knows exactly what he is getting with his latest addition and said: “He is really unrated and I expect him to play at a much higher level in the future. From the first time I saw him at Slough I knew he could play in the EPL.
“He plays the game beyond his years. He is very smart on the puck and always makes the right decisions. I feel he is another great addition to the team.
Sullivan is excited about joining the Bison and said: “Doug is putting together a good team and I am pleased to be part of it. I am taking a year out from university to concentrate on my hockey so I am really looking forward to the new season.”
New boy Sullivan’s jersey is available to Own and Loan at a price of £150 for the home jersey and £120 for the away shirt.
All Owners and Loaners will have their name printed on the back of the player’s jersey, as well as having the opportunity of a photograph with their respective player at the end of the season.
All you have to do is e-mail info@bstokebison.co.uk - the shirts will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis, when the announcement is made on the Official Basingstoke Bison website.
