THE ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the triple British signing of Jacob Heron, Connor Standing and Cameron Wynn.
The highly rated teenagers all pulled on a Herd jersey last season and are three excellent additions to an already impressive squad.
Forward Heron joined last season from Milton Keynes where he had spent his entire career and proved a real hit with the Bison fans.
The 19-year-old worked tireless on the all Brit line and chipped in with some vital goals hitting the net in total nine times which was career high and is sure to improve on that this term.
New back-up goalie 17-year-old Standing is a product of the Basingstoke junior programme and is rated as one the best young goalies in the country.
Last season he saw plenty of rubber in goal for the under-18 Bison at an average of 42 shots a game, but still posted an impressive save rate of 89.7 per cent.
Another forward 17-year-old Wynn is also a Basingstoke trained player and impressed when called into the injury hit Herd earlier this year. He played the final 16 games of the season picking up two assists, while going very close on a number of occasions to scoring his first senior goal.
Talking about the latest additions to his squad Bison player/coach Doug Sheppard said: “Jacob gives you everything every shift and that is the attitude I want in my team.
“Connor is top young goalie and is only going to benefit from learning off of Stevie Lyle.
“Cameron capitalised on his opportunity last season and has a very good hockey brain for someone so young.”
All three Brits are delighted to have signed up for the new campaign.
Returning Heron said: “I really think we can win some silverware this season with this team.”
Goalie Standing said: “I know my role on the team and I just want to keep improving as a player.”
Forward Wynn said: “I just can’t wait for the season to start and I will be training hard during the summer.”
All three players’ jerseys are available to Own and Loan at a price of £150 for the home jersey and £120 for the away shirt.
All Owners and Loaners will have their name printed on the back of the player’s jersey, as well as having the opportunity of a photograph with their respective player at the end of the season.
All you have to do is e-mail info@bstokebison.co.uk - the shirts will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis, when the announcement is made on the Official Basingstoke Bison website.
Young fans can sponsor their favourite player for the year. This will cost £30 for the season and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. When the announcement is made on the Official Basingstoke Bison website, email info@bstokebison.co.uk to secure your favourite player.
