Bison suffer 3 - 2 defeat at the hands of the Bees

The ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday night, going down 3-2 on the road to the Bracknell Bees in EPL action. It was the Bison who got off to a dream start, with Greg Chambers finding the net just 22 seconds in, assisted by Joe Rand. Bees replied at 6:31 as Jan Bendik setup Martin Masa to score shorthanded. Former Bison Marcel Petran put the Bees in front on a powerplay at 7:39 assisted by Shaun Thompson and Sam Oakford.

Martin Masa netted his 2nd of the game at 32:49 putting Bees further in front, assisted by Lukas Smital and Shaun Thompson. Joe Miller brought the Bison back to within a goal as he combined with Greg Chambers to find the net at 36:33.

There would be no further scoring in the game, despite the Bison pulling Stevie Lyle for an extra attacker in the dying moments, and the Bees held onto take both points.

Marcel Petran was voted man of the match for the Bees, with Joe Miller once again winning the award for the Herd. Tom Annetts got the win in net for the Bees, with Stevie Lyle picking up his first loss of the season for the Bison.
