THE ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison have added another British player to their line-up by signing Kris Melachrino.
He joins his brother Andy in the line-up as they become the latest siblings to ice for the Herd.
The 22-year-old utility player stands 6ft 5in and has played alongside his younger brother Andy before for the Guildford Phoenix and Slough’s English Division One side.
Bison boss Doug Sheppard said: “We are pleased to have signed Kris and I am sure that having Andy here was a major factor.”
New signing Melachrino talking ahead of his debut said: “Andy has told me only good things about the team and I watched them against Guildford.
“I prefer to play as a forward as I like to crash the net and also dish out hits on defencemen. I just can’t wait to get started.”
Kris Melachrino will pull on a Bison jersey for the first time in Bracknell on Saturday, before making his home debut against Sheffield on Sunday.
