Watt a signing
14th of January 2013
The ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison have beefed up their line-up with the signing of feisty forward Nicky Watt.
The 26-year-old returns to a club where he spent all his junior hockey and he also played for the Herd during their time in the Elite League.
Watt is excited to be back and said: It was a difficult decision to leave Swindon, but I cant wait to get started.
I am a local lad and really want to help the Bison win some silverware.
The move will see him reunited with former line mate Jaroslav Cesky the pair having spent three years together, two at Bracknell and one in Swindon.
During his time with the Bees Watt was their top scoring Brit hitting the net 46 times in 105 games.
In the last 18 months in Swindon he scored 33 times and will be hoping to add to that tally when he pulls on a Bison jersey for the visit of Manchester on Saturday.
Talking about the latest excellent addition to the Herd, Doug Sheppard said: He will add the grit we are missing in the line-up and is an energy player that others can feed off of.
He has a great work ethic and also gives us more depth down the middle as he is another centreman.
Tickets for the game against Manchester Phoenix on Saturday are on sale from the Basingstoke Arena box office on (01256) 355266.
