Newcastle 6 Bison 3
3rd of December 2007
After a run of 6 losses Newcastle found the winning feeling again as they netted five with out reply by the 35 th minute to ease past the Bison challenge.

The home side were quickly off the mark as Ben Storey (6th) converted a powerplay opportunity with 1.23 played. They doubled their lead as Pavel Gomenyuk (6th) again on the powerplay netted at 14.24.

The hosts put the game beyond doubt with three goals in a four minute spell midway through the contest. A double from David Longstaff (9th and 10th) at 30.48 and 33.52 gave the Vipers a lead of four goals. Just under a minute later Dean Holland (4th) made it five as he scored at 34.48. The visitors got on the board at 36.22 as Greg Wood netted his first of the season.

The Bison added two further goals in the third period with the first at 53.46 from Brad Cruikshank (11th) and David Vychodil (2nd) at 56.16 but it was too little to late and with the goaltender pulled for the extra man Vipers Colin Shields (16th) found the empty net to complete the scoring.
