Bison 1 Cardiff 2
2nd of December 2007
Over 900 fans were treated to an exciting end-to-end game of ice hockey on Saturday night with the Man of the Match for the Devils, Phil Osaer, putting on an outstanding display between the pipes to deny the Herd a point.

In an even first period it was the goaltenders that came out on top as both Cruickshank and Osaer turned away the rubber that was fired on them and the period ended goalless.

The deadlock was finally broken at 31.59 with a powerplay goal. After a series of point blank saves by Osaer, Chambers put one on the scoreboard for the home side with a shot over the shoulder of the Devils' goalie. The Bison continued to put pressure on the visitors' net but in the final two minutes of the game disaster struck. A deflection off a Bison stick on the powerplay made the game 1-1 and just over a minute later Tyson Teplitsky put Cardiff ahead.

Despite out shooting their opponents in the third period the Bison could not find a way past the in-form Cardiff netminder and the Devils held on to take both points as the period ended goalless.
