The Basingstoke Bison go looking for their first victory of the season over visiting league leaders the Cardiff Devils on Saturday.
The Welsh side are currently in a rich vein of form, but then so are the Herd in their own barn, having not been beaten in regulation time in their last five home outings.
Cardiff arrive in Basingstoke fresh from a 4-4 tie with the Sheffield Steelers on Wednesday night in the first leg of their Challenge Cup semi-final.
The Bison stampede into the encounter after taking three points from a possible four from last weekend's home double header, which saw them beat Newcastle 5-4 in overtime and then lose in a penalty-shoot out at the hands of Belfast.
Bison head coach Ryan Aldridge said: "Cardiff have been the best team we have played this season. We know it is going to be tough, but whoever wins the game is going to have to earn it."
The action starts at 6.30pm on Saturday and tickets for this great night at the Basingstoke Arena are still available from the box office by contacting (01256) 355266.
On Sunday evening, the Bison make their first trip of the season to Newcastle looking to repeat last Saturday's win over the Vipers.
On Friday night the north eastern outfit are in action in their home second-leg of their Challenge cup semi-final with the Nottingham Panthers looking to over turn a one goal deficit.
Bison boss Aldridge is fully aware that Newcastle will be gunning for revenge and said: "I expect them to come out playing a lot tougher this time. We can handle that and I believe we can come away from the game with some points."
