New boy David Vychodil will make his debut on Saturday as the Basingstoke Bison look to maintain their recent hot streak of winning form, when the Hull Stingrays come to town.
The Czech Republic defenceman goes straight into a line-up who have reeled off three straight wins - two of which have been on home ice.
When Hull were last in town in early September, they were beaten 3-1 by the Bison, this after they opened the scoring thanks to Rob Rankin. The Herd then hit back as Greg Owen and a Peter Campbell brace made sure of the victory.
The Bison have no new injury worries ahead of the weekend, but Hull have, as enforcer Cole Byers is doubtful after suffering a reoccurrence of his knee injury last weekend, which had already sidelined him for 11 games.
Brighter news for Hull is that American forward Jake Riddle looks set to play having missed last weekend due to a facial injury.
Last weekend, the Bison's double success saw them swap places with the Stingrays and move the Herd back into the play-off spot.
Despite their lowly position Bison head coach Ryan Aldridge is taking nothing for granted and said: "Hull are always a hard working team, but the boys are pumped up right now and can't wait for the next game."
Tickets for what should be another great night at the Basingstoke Arena on Saturday are still available from the book office by contacting (01256) 355266.
On Sunday night, the Bison travel to the recently deposed leaders Coventry and it means a quick return for Bison new signing Vychodil to the club he played with earlier in the month.
So far this season the Blaze have beaten the Bison twice, but last weekend suffered their first double loosing weekend of the season. On the previous night to facing the Herd they have a top-of-the-table clash with the Newcastle Vipers.
Bison boss Aldridge is ready for a backlash from the Blaze and said: "Coventry are a good team, well coached and they will bounce back. We will go there and look to execute a good road game and hopefully come away from there with something."
