The Basingstoke Bison would like to announce the signing of defenceman David Vychodil. His arrival has allowed the departure of Canadian Dean Melanson.
The new addition to the Herd is a native of the Czech Republic and is no stranger to Britain having played for Coventry Blaze earlier this season. Last year he played for the Manchester Phoenix returning 39 points, scoring 18 times and picking up 216 minutes in penalties from 56 games.
Vychodil, before coming to Britain played in the top leagues in Europe as well as North America.
Bison head coach Ryan Aldridge said: "He will be another great addition for the team and is a good steady defenceman."
On the departure of Melanson Aldridge said: "He has been playing with a head injury over the past few weeks, but he has still played for the team. We wish him all the best for the future."
