With Capitals having clinched the final Play-Off spot the previous night this game was played out in a relaxed fashion but still provided good entertainment and a goal feast to Capitals biggest crowd of the season.

Not surprisingly there were several EIHL records set or equalled in this shootout:-

*Capitals equalling the most goals scored in a game by a team in the regular season (11).
*A Capitals club record for most goals scored in a single game (11).
*Most goals scored in a game by both teams (18).
*Bison scored the highest number of goals in a game while losing (7).

Scoring highlights saw Greg Chambers count 0+5 for Bison, Colin Hemingway score 2+4 for Capitals and Mike Stutzel 1+4 but perhaps the most bizarre stat was that of regular Bison number one goaltender Curtis Cruickshank, who played as a skater in this game and grabbed 2 goals and 1 assist!
