Bison look to charm Vipers
26th of October 2007
A busy time for the Basingstoke Bison continues this weekend, as hot on the heels of defeat on Wednesday night in Nottingham 5-2, the Herd are in action on Saturday when the Newcastle Vipers are in town.

The following morning, the Bison make the long trip north of the border for their first visit of the season to Murrayfield to face the Edinburgh Capitals.

A hectic four games in eight days is completed, on Wednesday night with a home game against leaders Coventry Blaze.

On Saturday, a much improved Newcastle-side from last season, will face the Bison for the first time during this campaign, with the Basingstoke Arena the venue.

Once again the north east outfit have a number of feisty players in the likes of Andre Payette, Derek Campbell and Jeff Hutchins, which is sure to make it an action packed night.

There are still seats available for the clash from the ticket office on 01256 355266. The game has a 6.30pm face-off

Talking ahead of the weekend, Basingstoke head coach Ryan Aldridge said: "Once again we worked hard in Nottingham, but a couple of breakdowns in the last 20 minutes, cost us the game in the final period.

"The support from the fans has been awesome and we are hungry to get that next win, but at the moment we are unable to taste it. You can be sure we will be going full out to make that happen in our next few games."
