Devils shoot to the top of Challenge Cup Group A following this road win against a Bison side who made a late fightback but left themselves with too much to do in the end.

Devils now unbeaten in their last 4 starts but Bison winless in their last 3.

The opening period was scoreless with the home side having the majority of the chances but Devils took command in the second with Phil Hill putting them ahead at 29.58 and Brad Voth doubling their advantage at 33.29 .

Danny Stewart pulled onr back for Bison at 35.15 but Devils regained the 2-goal lead on the powerplay at 39.06 as Mike garrow netted.

Devils looked safe when a 5 on 3 advantage saw Max Birbraer make it 4-1 at 46.11 but the home side were still in there fighting when Brad Cruikshank shot and scored at 49.50.

An altercation at 55.23 between Birbraer and Bison's Derek Campbell saw both ejected on 5 + games for cross checking and checking to the head respectively and with only 13 seconds remaining Stewart scored his 2nd of the game for the home side with a penalty shot after Gerad Adams was called for dealy of game but there was no time left for Bison to deny Devils both points.
