Former Cardiff Devils stars Stevie Lyle and Steve Thornton will be hoping to avenge a 2-0 league defeat last month in Wales, when the sides clash again twice this weekend.
On Saturday night, the Welsh side are in Basingstoke for a Challenge Cup tie which has a 6.30pm face-off, while on Sunday the teams battle it out in Cardiff for Elite League points.
The contest on Saturday, is a must win game for both the Bison and Devils, if they want to keep alive their hopes of a semi-final place in the Challenge Cup, and both teams come into the weekend in good form.
The Devils drew in Coventry last Saturday, before beating Belfast to move off the bottom of the Elite League table, while the Herd turned in two great performances against Nottingham home and away - losing in penalty shots in Basingstoke, before earning a 4-4 tie in the Lace City.
So Saturday's game is a real crunch match and season ticket holders are reminded this is a non season ticket game and they have until an hour before the 6.30pm face-off to purchase their tickets - before they go on general sale. The ticket office number is 01256 355266.
Talking about the Devils double-header Bison head coach Ryan Aldridge said: "I think when we played them in Cardiff last time we sat back too much. This time we will be looking to play as we did against Nottingham and take the game to them.
He added: " We have had a good week of training, keeping out intensity levels high and I feel if we play as well as we can, we will get points out of both games."
