Cardiff's Phil Osaer stopped all 34 shots he faced on Sunday night in Cardiff Bay as the Bison were shut-out in Wales.
It was a tight contest throughout but Devils did get off to a quick start and given an early powerplay opportunity they took the lead at 3.20 with Matus Petricko finding the net.
Chances at either end after that but the crucial second goal came the way of the home side while the teams were skating 4 on 4 and it was Tyson Teplitsky who fired past Stevie Lyle at 31.42.
That ended the scoring with Devils still creating more in the way of scoring opportunities throughout the third period.
