Individual News

14th of September 2007
We have completed 2 extremely hectic weeks with the positive news that both Dean Melanson and Wes Jarvis have arrived and commenced training with the squad in preparation for this Saturday's game against Hull Stingray, Derek Campbell arrives Saturday afternoon and we intend to have him on the ice during Saturday's game.
This completes the squad and puts the Basingstoke Bison in strong position to compete against all 9 bmibaby Elite League teams in what we all know to be a very competitive league.
The customs hold up on the away and cup shirts has been resolved by our suppliers CH Sports and we have taken delivery of them which will complement the new home shirts that you will have already seen in the games so far.
At present our computer techies are finalising the new Bison ebay shop which will be attached to the website which too has undergone a revamp, the range of merchandise has been expanded significantly to include home and away replica shirts which are identical to the player shirts, polo shirts, caps, beanies, foam hands, mugs, seat pads, scarf's and the game DVD's which include not only match commentary but post game interviews and on ice commentary from the match referee who wears a microphone for us to record their comments.
All items of merchandise are available on all home games and can be purchased from the Supporters Club tables behind the away goal as well as being available via the ebay shop 24 / 7.
The game photo gallery will also be active shortly on the website, our biggest headache is sorting through the 600+ photographs taken at every home game by our photographers, and this is being implemented as we speak so keep an eye on the website.
Now we have the full squad in we will liaise with the bar management to arrange a 'meet the players evening' which will take place in the Q bar one evening next week between the hours of 7pm to 9pm where the players will all be introduced and you will have an opportunity to meet and greet them.
We are endeavouring to keep the supporters up to speed with where we are via both the website and the match day programmes that are available at every home game, now that the team is in place we all will have more time to do so, however both Sharon and I are always available in the rink on all home games and are invariably in the bar following the game should anyone wish to raise any issues with us directly.
