Yet another remarkable result for the 'Bison 10' as they drew level with Edinburgh Capitals in the race for the final Play-Off spot but have a crucial game in hand.
Massively outshot, Bison had yet another heroic display by Curtis Cruickshank between the pipes to set the platform for this win and they even came from behind to turn the game their way.
Only 4.31 on the clock and Dan Carlson (27th of the season) shot Blaze ahead but late in the period Bison tied it up as Danny Stewart (28th) scored at 18.45.
The second period saw Bison take control. winning the period 3-0 and giving them more than enough to hold on to against the expected Blaze onslaught in the third period.Player/coach Ryan Aldridge (7th) edged his team ahead at 21.18 and further goals by Greg Wood (6th) at 25.12 and Greg Chambers (36th) at 26.35 put Bison in dreamland!
The shot count was 20 to 5 in Blaze's favour in the third period but Cruickshank was superb as he stopped every shot to give Bison this famous victory - setting them up not only to defend their 2-goal Knockout Cup lead in the same barn on Tuesday but now giving themselves a great chance of pipping Edinburgh for the last Play-off spot.
Period Scores: 1-1, 0-3, 0-0
Penalty Mins: 6-8
