The Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of British forward Chris Wiggins.
The Herd's latest addition is their tenth and final forward for the up coming campaign and is no stranger to the EPL.
The 6ft 5in 210 pounder has previously won the league crown with his home town team the Guilford Flames in season 2004/05.
The 21-year-old giant power forward last season, played for the Bracknell Hornets in the English National League South One.
There he posted a point a game from 15 matches and collected 74 minutes in penalties.
The latest signing caught the eye of current Bison boss Steve Moria, while playing for the Hornets against Invicta Dynamos in the ENL play-off final.
Moria said: Chris (Wiggins) is the prototypical power forward. He plays a physical game and uses his size well. I watched him play in the ENL final where he demonstrated the art of making hits on defencemen.
" He is a player that I believe has not reached his potential and has a lot more to show what he can do."
The latest Bison signing is looking forward to the new season and said: "It is all very exciting being a new team and number of the players are already know from Guildford."
Talking about his style of play, Wiggins said: "I work hard and I am not afraid to go into the corner. I play a physical game so fighting comes with the territory."
The Bison have also announced this week a couple of pre-season challenge games against local rivals Bracknell Bees.
The Berkshire side will be in Basingstoke on Saturday September 12, with the return is in Bracknell on Sunday September 13.
