It was fantastic to hear that season ticket sales for next season were rapidly approaching the 150 mark. It seems that people are excited about next season already.
I think that every player that has signed for the Bison shares that same excitement. It is a new beginning, a new team and players want to be a part of the challenge that lies ahead.
I would like to have a Bison get together every month throughout the summer. When I say Bison, I mean people who are interested in the Club, fans, players and whoever else. We are discussing the possibility of a "Meet Joe Ciccarello" night, possibly on Thursday June 18.
Having spoken with Joe about this a couple of days ago, he was more than willing to be a part of this. What do we do on a meet Joe night? Maybe we can ask him about some Italian recipes. Rumour has it that he studied Italian cooking and scoffed at Marco Pierre White's cooking techniques. Of course, this cannot be confirmed as factual, purely a rumour.
With the inclusion of Romford and Bracknell, The EPL looks like a 10 team League. This would mean a 54 game league schedule, unless the Cup games will be separate.
On June 1 there will be a game in Bracknell in support of the Bracknell Bees. Joe and I will put the skates on (as long as we can find some other equipment to wear) for the first time since April. I am sure it will be a great night and fun for everyone.
My buddy Marky D is hoping to be back for June 1. Having been trekking though the Rila Mountains in Bulgaria in poison infested forests, he was hoping to locate and photograph a Scarce Swallowtail butterfly. I do not know how rare this type of species is but good luck to Marky D in his butterfly quest. No man is an island.
My search continues for two import players. It is crucial that I find the right "fit" for our Club. I am looking for an impact forward who can deliver important goals for us. Defensively, I am looking for a big dman who can control the defensive end and someone who possesses a big shot. Zdeno Chara would fit nicely into this category, but I think he might be busy next season.
