The players of the Basingstoke Bison would like to announce an extra special home game to take place on Wednesday March 11 against the Swindon Wildcats.
This game is being used to raise money for the Herd players who suffered a financial short-fall at the start of the season due to the departure of the then owner, this was before Planet Ice took over running the team.
The format of the evening will see a match between the local rivals, as well as a number of skills competitions in each of the period breaks.
Planet Ice have kindly donated the ice time free of charge for the game which has a 7.30pm face-off.
Two great prizes up for grabs on the night. The first being the chance to take part in the warm-up with the Bison players and then sit on the bench for the match. The second is the chance to be bench coach for the game.
Tickets for both these prizes will be on sale on both games of the Herd's home double header on weekend of March 7/8.
Other raffle prizes in conjunction with the game include a signed shirt and signed sticks and a few more are to announced.
The visiting Swindon team will include former Bison player/coach Ryan Aldridge and import John Wheaton, as well as whole host of Brits who have worn the Basingstoke jersey.
The return game is at the Link Centre on Wednesday March 18.
