Lehman pips Teplitsky, Voth and Reiter for top spot in All-Star Shirt auction.
Elite League officials have announced the top four shirts in the All-Star Game shirt auction that closed on Monday.
The game-worn shirts of forward Brad Voth (Cardiff Devils), netminder Kevin Reiter (Basingstoke Bison) and defenceman Tyson Teplitsky (also Cardiff) - received the highest bids from the players who represented the victorious Southern squad. However, the heaviest single shirt bidding was reserved for that of netminder Jody Lehman (Sheffield Steelers) of the Northern squad.
An Elite League spokesperson advised, "The auction proved to be popular and successful and we know from comments made to us that the fans welcome the opportunity to bid on such one-off items. We've started the planning for a similar event next season and we hope an All-Star Spectacular will become a staple event in the ice hockey calendar for many years to come."
