The Basingstoke Bison will be keen on Saturday night to stop the Newcastle Vipers making it five wins in a row over them this season, when the north east outfit slither into Hampshire for their final Elite League visit.
They have so far won twice in the Herd's building, the first time was back in October when Derek Campbell was the star of the show, as he returned 2+2 on the night in a 5-2 victory.
Also on the scoresheet for the Vipers, was Rob Rankin, David Longstaff and Marek Ivan. The Bison scorers in that game were Matt Miller and Danny Stewart.
A month later and Newcastle's second visit, saw the same result with Rob Rankin the scoring hero this time with a hat-trick, while Longstaff and Ivan also found the back of the net..
Once again for the Bison, Miller found the net, while Trevor Read got the other goal.
As well as two wins in Hampshire, the Vipers have also won a penalty shot victory over the Bison on home ice, when Stephen Wall was the losing Herd netminder.
They also beat Basingstoke in a much more one-sided game 8-0 with Todd Griffith helping himself to a hat-trick.
For the trip to Basingstoke, the Vipers have added Likit Andrersson to their line-up. He previously played for the Cardiff Devils, but a shoulder injury cost him his spot on the team.
Now fully recovered Newcastle's latest import flew into the country on Tuesday to join up with his new team.
Since there last visit the team has also made a couple of changes with the very dangerous Ed Courtenay joining along with feisty forward Jeff Hutchins, they are in place of Marek Ivan and Tyler Willis.
Basingstoke come into to the game having made club history last weekend by booking their first ever place in the Challenge Cup semi-final. However, this week the Herd are back looking to pick up league points and get into a play-off position.
Looking forward to the game Bison player/coach Eric Braff said: "They currently have our number, that is what sometimes happens in hockey, but after last week's poor showing at home we have to put that right this week against Newcastle."

On Sunday night, the Bison travel to Altrincham to face the Manchester Phoenix there opponents in the Cup semi-final.
Braff said: "This will be a preview for the semi-final game and we know they have a lot of firepower which we will have to close down. We have won in their building before so there is no reason we cannot do it again."
On Thursday night, Manchester beat Edinburgh 4-3 and have a trip to Coventry on Saturday, before they face the Herd.
