Probably the biggest game of the season since our last visit to Hull is the way Bison head coach Ryan Aldridge is billing Wednesday's trip to Humberside to face the Stingrays.
Last time around, the Bison stampeded to a brilliant 5-2 victory with Greg Chambers, Aldridge, Eric Braff, Danny Stewart and Greg Owen all hitting the back of the net for the triumphant visitors. Hull's two goals were scored by David Phillips.
That of course booked a place in the final of the British KnockOut Cup against the Coventry Blaze.
Victory on Wednesday night will be just a vital to put Basingstoke back in the final play-off spot, this after they were displaced last weekend after Edinburgh turned the form book upside down with a 4-1 success at league leaders Coventry.
Aldridge said: "That was an unbelievable win by Edinburgh and now we are hungry to get back in the play-offs. It is not going to be easy as we will be short benched and for sure Hull will be looking to avenge that cup defeat."
The Bison have injury doubts on Steve Thornton, Derek Campbell and David Vychodil ahead of the match, with Campbell the most likely to start of the three.
