American netminder Kevin Reiter flies into Britain tomorrow and then straight to Belfast for the Herd's Elite League clash at the Odyssey.
The shot stopper is set for a baptism of fire, as Belfast have won all their games so far this season.
On Sunday, in Newcastle the Bison picked up their first point of the current campaign, after a penalty shoot-out decider.
Aldridge felt his team were the better side and deserved the win, despite being two imports short.
The Bison boss praised his stand-in goalie Stephen Wall and said: "He has had a great two weeks for us and has certainly come on leaps and bounds since he was with me in Bracknell. He has helped us out and we thank him for that."
Wednesday night's clash will see Basingstoke head coach Ryan Aldridge go head-to-head with his former assistant of last season, Steve Thornton, who is now the Giants' player/coach.
Talking about the Belfast game, Aldridge said: " Kevin (Reiter) is certainly going to be tired, but it will be great to see him in the line-up. Steve (Thornton) has built the best team in the league I feel, but we will go there looking to squeeze out a result.
