As I am sure you are all aware by now, these next few days will be critical for the future of Basingstoke Bison. By Sunday, I need to have raised £30,000 to ensure our participation in the Elite League.

We have a strong squad. The imports, with one exception, are ready to travel. Everyone has been looking forward to playing Coventry in the Challenge Cup and in the League next weekend.

We had a major setback at the beginning of last week, but I thought I had covered that. Then Zoom collapsed and I find myself having to pay fares for which I hadn't budgeted and my 'cover' withdrew its offer.

I want Bison to be on the ice next weekend, but it will only happen with a lot of hard work and a lot of luck. We've come through a lot together and I know I can count on your support.

Details of a meeting on Sunday are being finalised and I will let you know those as soon as possible.
