THE BASINGSTOKE Bison will open their English Premier League campaign with a cracking home fixture against their former Elite League rivals Manchester Phoenix.
Both sides will be keen to make their mark on the EPL and the Phoenix will bring a side full of players Bison fans will know all about, including former Herd man Greg Wood.
For the first time in many years, Basingstoke have a home game on Boxing Day, when Ryan Aldridge’s Swindon Wildcats will be in town. The Herd also finish their campaign entertaining the Wiltshire side.
The first fixture home and away for the Bison against their nine EPL opponents will also double up as an EPL Cup game, forming a mini league from which the top four make the semi-final.
The Herd have seven Sunday fixtures this season and they will now face-off at the new earlier time of 5.30pm, while Saturday home night games remain at 6.30pm.
