After last Sunday's magnificent British Knockout cup semi-final victory in Hull, which booked them a place in the final against Coventry.
This Saturday, the Basingstoke Bison turn their attentions to capturing some more valuable league points when the Edinburgh Capitals.
The Scottish outfit are chasing the Herd hard, for that final bmibaby Elite League play-off spot which they currently occupy.
Three points separate the teams with eight games left of the campaign of which two will see the Bison and Caps face each other in their own buildings. The first being in Bisonland on Saturday.
So far this season, the Basingstoke Arena has proved to be a 'House of Doom' for visiting Edinburgh, as they lost 3-0 back in November and then were crushed 10-2 last time around earlier this year.
That was the Bison's biggest ever Elite League victory and saw Canadian hot shot Greg Chambers in superb form bagging four goals, while Derek Campbell, Danny Stewart, Eric Braff, David Vychodil, Brad Cruikshank and Greg Wood also found the net as well as the Herd ran riot.
For Saturday's contest the Bison have injury doubts to forwards Campbell and Steve Thornton along with defenceman Vychodil, but whoever laces up the skates, will be ready to make sure the Bison take two points, from their only game of the weekend.
Bison head coach Ryan Aldridge said: "This is a huge game for us this weekend and I hope we can build on the great performance in Hull last Sunday. I think if we can beat Edinburgh in both our remaining games with them that will see us into the play-offs which is what the players and fans want at this club."
Tickets for the Bison Caps clash are still available from the box office on (01256) 355266.
Saturday's game is sponsored by the Bracknell Bees Supporters Club and there are 100 free tickets available for the Bees game on Sunday against Peterborough, which can be collected from the Bison Supporters Club table. A maximum of four per family.
