Bison Win Overtime Thriller
THE BASINGSTOKE Bison made it four league wins on the trot, as they beat the visiting Sheffield Scimitars 4-3 after overtime on Saturday night.
The Herd got off to a great start opening the scoring after 48 seconds from Ollie Bronnimann, before the Scims hit back as Joakim Millqvist and Robert Farmer gave them a first period lead.
The Yorkshire side inspired by some a superb display of netminding from their man-of-the-match Pasi Raitanen went 3-1 up thanks to Tom Squires, before the Bison pulled one back with Bronnimann's second.
The final period saw the Bison dominate and they got their well deserved equaliser from Ondrej Lauko, but with no further scoring the game went to overtime.
It was left to leading scorer Lauko to grab the winner, 91 seconds before the end of the extra session.

Bison comeback to sting Bees
THE BASINGSTOKE Bison produced the comeback of their season so far, as they won 4-3 in Bracknell on Sunday night, after trailing 3-0.
The home side took a two goal lead in the opening four minutes, from Jaroslav Cesky and Ryan Watt.
Cesky then added a third, before Joe Ciccarello broke the Herd's duck to make it 3-1 at the first buzzer.
The visitors then dominated with leading scorer Ondrej Lauko getting the Bison's second.
The final period saw the Herd again on top and it was left to Ollie Bronnimann and Steve Moria to complete the scoring.
The victory moves the Bison up to third in the standings.
