The Bison hit back to level the game as Steve Moria and Mindy Kieras both scored on the powerplay.
Basingstoke’s Joe Ciccarello then scored a brace of shorthanded markers to make it 5-3 at the second buzzer.

Sunday: Bison struck by Lightning
By Graham Merry
THE BASINGSTOKE Bison found league leaders Milton Keynes Lightning too hot to handle on Sunday night, as they lost 5-3.
This after the Herd had taken the lead at 10:32 from Steve Moria, only for the visitors to score twice on the same powerplay from Monir Kalgoum and Adam Carr - thanks to a delayed penalty call.
The home side had the better of the second session, but it was MK who extended their lead to 3-1 as Nick Poole netted at 38:35.
Back came the Bison in the final period, thanks to a brace of powerplay goals from man-of-the-match Ondrej Lauko to tie the game.
However, two goals in as many minutes from Kalgoum and Ross Bowers made sure MK won the game.
