Last weekend Milton Keynes forechecked our defence very hard. Having Kurt Reynolds injured, we only had four dmen. It was clear to see that the Lightning’s game plan was to attack and hit our four guys as much as they possibly could. Mindy, Tony, Sam and Oaky were under far more pressure than any other game. The physical play of the MK forwards and having to log 6-10 minutes of ice time more would have affected their performance. Hopefully their might be another capable player available for us to sign as cover for Kurt while he recovers. He has fractured his finger in two places and is wearing a cast halfway up his arm.
Tonight we hope to turn over Manchester for the first time. I felt that we were robbed of two points in Manchester so I believe that it is our turn. Tony Hand is the key to their team and limiting Tony’s puck carrying opportunities is crucial.
I am sorry but I am going to have to keep this one short. Having been feeling beerootal last night and today, this headache and dizziness is getting worse while I type!
Enjoy the game! Keep up the great support. We need to win won for you guys after losing a couple at home recently..
