The Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of defenceman Tyrone Miller.
The 27-year-old will make his debut for the Herd in Sunday’s game against one of his former clubs the Guildford Flames, as other commitments rule him of out of tonight’s home game.
Last season the former Great Britain junior international, played for the Romford Raiders and returned 18 points, all in assists and 75 minutes in penalties from 46 games.
Miller made his senior debut in season 1999/2000 for the Flames in the British National League and then moved to Rom Valley Way. There he was a team mate of current Bison Tom Long in the Raiders 2004/05 EPL Cup success.
A delighted Basingstoke player/coach Steve Moria said: “Tyrone is a very welcome addition for us. With both Kurt and Tony out injured for the next few weeks, Tyrone will be a huge boost to the squad.
“ This will give us four defencemen with the option of moving Tom Long back up front. Ty is a solid Dman who skates well and should be able to step in and immediately do a job for us . Although he has had a lengthy layoff, his fitness level is very high.”
