Mo's Mumblings
5th of December 2009
We need to get out of the blocks quickly tonight. Unfortunately we only picked up a point last weekend against Guildford and Manchester. Both games were winnable but resulted in losses as too many defensive errors cost us valuable points. Having conceded 24 goals in the last four games, it is imperative that we decrease the amount of goals that we are conceding.
Kurt Reynolds should be ready to play barring any sicknesses, accidents in training, getting hit by a car or any other possible potential reason for any of our guys not being able to play. Chris Wiggins is a possibility to play as well. He will skate during the week and we will assess his situation on Saturday.
Unfortunately we have lost Scott Spearing due to his knee injury. Scott had surgery last Friday to mend his cruciate ligament problem which was very severe. It is possible that he may return at some point during the season, but usually these types of injuries are long term. Scott is a very dedicated player who scores goals and is a pure power forward which is something that we have missed recently. I wish Scott a speedy recovery.
Finally I would like to discuss Special Ed.

12 reasons why I don’t like Ed Courtenay
1 He doesn’t look like a hockey player
2 He is too old- must be in his 40’s at least
3 He is too slow
4 He does not break a sweat whilst playing
5 He does not "warm-up" in the warm-up he chooses to flip pucks high in the air and attempting to catch them on his stick.
6 He is successful doing it
7 He becomes invisible when he crosses our blue line
8 He scores goals from behind the goalline
9 He uses illegal equipment- stick is too long, curve is too much
10 He scores 4 goals in his first game without training during the summer or training with the team beforehand (there must be a minimum training period rule)
11 He has scored too many goals against the Bison (I am going to pretend I don’t know how many)
12 He is way too old
