Sheffield 3 Bison 1
11th of February 2008
Steelers moved level on points with second placed Belfast with a couple of games in hand following this their ninth straight league win. Could Dave Matsos' men yet be the team to make a late late charge to try and deny Coventry the title?

Steelers took control of this game in the opening period and led with a powerplay goal by Randy Dagenais (8th) after only 3.46. Jason Hewitt (10th) was then on target for the home side at 12.50 to give them a 2-0 advantage going into the second session.

Despite Steelers still having the better of the play in the middle period the Bison defence held firm and there was no addition to the first period scoring action.

Bison made it interesting when player/coach Ryan Aldridge (5th) pulled one back at 47.58 but any home nerves were eased when the Steelers powerplay unit came up trumps again at 53.25 with Dagenais (9th) again finding the net and ending the scoring.
