Bison Sign Sande
2nd of February 2010
NEWS RELEASED: 1st February 2010

The Basingstoke Bison would like to announce the signing of big defenceman Andy Sande.

The 33-year-old is no stranger to the Herd having played in the British National League, Superleague and Elite League for Basingstoke.

The 6ft 3in player is sure to add a physical presence to the Bison blue line as he dishes out the hits.

As well as playing for the Herd, Sande has also had spells with Bracknell, Cardiff and Guildford as well as playing in Sweden.
He was born in Stockholm, but his father is English and he holds a British passport and is a former Great Britain junior international.

Bison player/coach Steve Moria said: "This gives us added depth in defence. Andy will train with us this week, but I am not sure when he will play yet.

"He has not played competitive hockey for a couple of years, but Andy is a personal gym instructor which will ease his path into playing for the Bison."
