This weekend will see the Bison play their final two games of the regular season. We are still battling with Guildford and Manchester for 3rd spot and this weekend will obviously determine who will finish in 3rd, 4th and 5th. We have worked very hard this season and 5th place would be disappointing. We lost a lot of hockey games during the Nov/Dec period when we had 4-5 players out injured. When we were “fit” with everyone healthy, we were very strong. After Christmas we won 21 games whilst losing only 5.

Ondrej Lauko and Mindy Kieras have been voted to the EPL allstar 2nd team. Congratulations to both players who have been exceptional this season. Ondrej has been a “sniper” all season scoring goals in a variety of different ways. Mindy has also been a huge factor in the success of the Bison this season. He possesses the best “point” shot in the League and has been solid defensively for us.

The amount of people watching the Bison games has really increased throughout the season. It is great to see so many new faces in attendance enjoying the excitement of the games. I think that the groups / schools programme has been highly successful and has ensured that over 1000 people watch the Bison every week. Next season we can build on this further. We are the hottest ticket in town!
