'Wig Wam Bam' Back For More
27th of May 2010
BASINGSTOKE Bison power forward Chris Wiggins is to return for another season – a signing that will delight the fans.

The all-action giant British player, who stands at 6ft 5ins, certainly made a big impression in his first campaign in a Herd jersey last year.

As well as his hard-hitting no-nonsense approach to the game, he is also not afraid to drop the gloves to stick up for his team-mates.

And he can also be relied on to put the puck in the net, as he proved last season by scoring 10 times.

Bison player/coach Steve Moria is delighted to have Wiggins back on board.

He said: “Wiggy was an unknown commodity when he arrived last season. I think he really developed as a player and I think there is still more to come.

“He has really learned how to use his size and weight, and he certainly makes space for his line-mates when he’s out on the ice, as well as making opposition defenceman nervous.”

Following the success of last season’s Own-and-Loan jersey’s, fans will once again have the opportunity to ‘Own-and-Loan’ the home and away jersey’s that will be worn by the Bison throughout the 2010/11 season.

Each player’s home and away jersey will be available to purchase at £150 and £120 respectively. All Owners and Loaners will have their name printed on the back of the player’s jersey, as well as having the opportunity of a photograph with their respective player at the end of the season.

So for a chance to own and loan Chris's jersey by e-mailing bison.info@planet-ice.co.uk - the shirts will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis.
