The Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce their second signing for the coming season, after top goal scorer Greg Chambers put pen to paper this week for a two year deal.
The Herd's goal machine of last term hit the back of the net 39 times in all games and set a new club record of 35 in the Elite League, along with setting new best marks for both points 82 and assists 47.
This excellent return of points for the 25-year-old hot-shot in his third year with the Bison, has moved him into tenth spot in the club's all time top league points scorers, ahead of their 20th anniversary season.
Canadian Chambers joins already signed captain Brad Cruikshank as the Bison's first two returnees for next season which is a great foundation for the new squad.
Talking about his latest signing Bison head coach Ryan Aldridge said: "This is a huge signing for us as he had such a good year for us. He has broken club records and got a lot of points and that was playing for a ninth placed team.
"He is a real fan favourite and I look forward to seeing what he can do for the Bison next season."
Chambers is delighted to be returning to Basingstoke and said: "I like the town, the fans and this is a good fit for me. Signing a two deal gives me a bit of security.
" I am sure we will have a good team next year and I look forward to playing my part in it."
