The ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison will be looking to continue their recent run of home rule when the Swindon Wildcats are the next to visit the Basingstoke Arena on Sunday night.
After two thrilling wins in overtime against Peterborough and a penalty shoot-out victory over Guildford, the Wildcats will be the next to feel the heat of stampede in a game which has a 5.30pm face-off.
The Herd hope to have power forward Chris Wiggins back from injury and also Viktor Kubenko who missed the end Sunday’s win in Telford which saw the Bison extend their winning streak to four games.
The Herd will also be hoping to repeat their recent 5-2 success over their Wiltshire rivals when a hat-trick from Kubenko inspired the home side to victory.
Since that defeat on the road, Swindon has lost in overtime in Telford before winning at both Slough and Milton Keynes.
Also since the Bison loss the Wildcats have been boosted by the return of Aaron Nell who scored four times on his first weekend back against MK.
Looking forward to what should be another great game, Bison player/coach Steve Moria said: “I am sure it will be tough game and I am expecting a stiff test. We want to carry on our winning run at home in front of our own fans.”
Tickets for Sunday night’s match which is sure to be another thriller are available from the Basingstoke Arena box office on (01256) 355266 or via the Bison website.
Before the clash with Swindon, the Herd travel to the Hangar on Saturday night to face the Slough Jets for a game which has a 6.30pm face-off.
