Around the Rink - Flying Bears!
6th of December 2011
Wow ! Let’s start by saying a massive Thank You to everyone who participated in throwing a Cuddly Toy on to the ice when Bison scored their 1st goal on Saturday during our annual Teddy Bear toss. Naomi House children’s hospice has asked me to pass on a huge Thank You to all bison fans for the generous support. I’m still waiting for the final bear count but I do know that we managed to fill up 8 bin liners full of bears. Also pleased to report that no fans were injured by any flying bears and no First Ade was required!

It’s still not too late to purchase one of our half season tickets that start with the Boxing Day fixture against the Peterborough Phantoms and ends with a mouth-watering home game against one of our local rivals the Guildford Flames.
Half season application forms can be downloaded from our web- site www.bstokebison.co.uk click on the contact menu, once you have filled in your application form you can then hand this into to the box office staff at the arena where they will get your application processed.

The festive fixtures times have now been released and can be found on the Bison website, for those of you that have not looked yet the Peterborough game on Boxing Day and the Guildford game on New Year’s Eve will both face off at 5.30pm with doors opening 45 minutes before hand. I know I keep on about this but unfortunately last month 1 fan turned up as he always does on a Saturday only to find out that we were thrashing Slough away.

It’s not too late to get that last minute Bison Christmas present from the Booster Clubs merchandise tables, so please give them a visit as they are working extremely hard to raise money for our team.

Number 41 has to be a lucky number at the moment as our resident announcer DJ Bavy has been drawn out to win a cash prize in both our 100 club draws. If you see a draw and number 41 is available take it! If it wins then great if it doesn’t then you can take great satisfaction in knowing you have ended Bavy’s run.

Whilst your there then treat yourself to some shirt of the players back tickets as this week it’s the one you have all been waiting for Viktor Kubenko’s game worn shirt.
